What is the maximum number of guests for Weddings/Events?
The Outlook at Saddle Ridge can accommodate up to 500 guests, depending on location. Weddings larger than 200 incur an additional cost per person.
How do I reserve my date?
Once you have made the decision to hold your event at The Outlook at Saddle Ridge, a non-refundable payment of $1,000 and a damage deposit of $1,000 is required to secure your date. We will hold your date for 7 days, but if contacted about the same date in your 7-day grace period, there is a 24-hour commitment time frame in which the full deposit will need to be paid, otherwise the date will be forfeited. All contracts are on a first come, first serve basis.
Are there overnight accommodations at The Outlook at Saddle Ridge?
Yes! Overnight accommodations are dependent upon the rental package chosen. The cottage can be added a la carte to daily rental, while 2 nights are included in our weekend package. Check-in is 5:00 pm the day before your wedding.
What about food?
The Outlook at Saddle Ridge allows you to choose a professional, licensed caterer of your choice for the event. We have facilities for the warming and cooling of pre-prepared food only. Please see our preferred vendors list for our top choices of caterers in the Central VA area.
What about parking?
We have parking that can accommodate up to 500 guests. We offer handicapped and vendor parking in a secure location. For the safety of wedding guests, cars may be left on the property overnight. All cars left on the property overnight must be removed between the hours of 9am-11am the day following the event. They must be removed before the 11am cutoff.
What about cleaning?
The facility will be ready for your event by performing all regular cleaning. Most caterers dispose of trash from your event as part of their services to you. Cans, beer bottles and other debris from your event are your responsibility. Immediately following the event, please have a "clean-up committee" take a few minutes to walk all areas of the building and property that have been utilized and pick-up any trash that may have been left behind.
What about children?
We require parents to maintain close supervision of all children during the event. Parents are required to be present with children on the immediate grounds. No children are allowed in our barrel racing ring.
What about drinks?
At The Outlook at Saddle Ridge, we allow your guests to drink responsibly. If you or your caterer provide alcohol for your guests, you are required to have an ABC banquet license. Your caterer may already provide this. If not, you can visit ABC Virginia banquet license online at https://www.abc.virginia.gov/licenses/get-a-license/banquet-licenses to purchase.
Event ending time?
All events must end by 10:00 PM to comply with all noise ordinances, and to be respectful to our residential neighbors, allowing for clean-up and closure of the site by 11:00 PM.
How many hours are included in the rental?
Daily wedding rentals include 13 hours. Generally, vendors and bridal party have access to the space at 9am and grand exit will occur by 10pm.
Can I get ready onsite?
The Outlook at Saddle Ridge provides both a bridal dressing room and a groom’s dressing room with a bathroom, full length mirror, mini fridges, and other amenities.
What about vendors?
The Outlook at Saddle Ridge allows couples to choose the vendors that most accurately represent their style. However, all vendors must be licensed and insured. Wedding Planner or Day of Coordination are required and must be licensed and insured. The individual must be present for the rehearsal. The planner would need to contact our venue coordinator to become familiar with the venue. Any tents, large rental items, lighting, draping, or event production needs must be cleared through the venue before purchase/rental.
Can I schedule Bridal Portraits or Engagement Sessions on the property?
Rental of property for bridal or engagement photography sessions are available for an additional cost of $500 (photographer not included). These sessions are complimentary to those couples that book with us. Appointments can be made with us pending venue availability.
What decorations are permitted?
We want your event to showcase your personal tastes, and for the space to be your own. However, we do not allow items to be drilled or permanently affixed to the walls or ceiling. Any larger décor of this sort must be approved before its purchase. Open flames must be secured in votives or vases.
Are there areas for smoking?
There is to be no smoking inside any of the buildings on the property. Guests may use the designated outdoor smoking areas and the provided disposals.
